Monte Carlo SS 3.
Twice in last mo. the starter has failed to engage on my 2000 M/C that has 88000 mi. with the 3.8 eng. Sometime you can hear a slight clicking sound sound with the key in start position, but not always. Wiggling the wires around the battery area seems to work. after about 10 min.. The battery and its connections are very good. Starter and solenoid work great otherwise. Would take it to the shop, but how do you diagnose something bad when it,s working ?
