We had to have pinion & side bearings replaced and they reconditioned differentials. This is a family vehicle that does not pull horse trailers or a boat!

Suburban 4WD 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 12,700 miles
Driving on freeway along carpool lane when the car ahead of us stopped to move to the next lane and we all had to stop. I had a good distance from the vehicle in front of me when I hit the brakes. The brakes went all the way to the floor(literally) but still didn't stop until I crashed into the car in front of me. The ABS brakes feels unusual. I also hear a clanking sound on the differential every time I have to decelerate and go back to normal speed or just moving from "park" to "reverse" or from "neutral" to "reverse".
