This started as a rattle and sometimes knocking when I turned the wheel. I called it in, they (dealer) knew right away, 'no problem we have a new intermediate shaft. Chevy is recalling the greased ones and we will put the new one in and the problem will go away'. The sound is gone, but so is my handling and security. The vehicle now feels every bump or anything in the road and the dealer swears they can't duplicate it. The mechanic went for a drive with me and said he could feel what I was talking about, but there was nothing they could do as it wasn't 'recognized' by Chevy as a problem. He also claimed I was still safe with my 3 kids in the car (8, 4, 2). How can I be safe when I have to grip the wheel over every bump! NO one has offered to help and it is a known problem! I am going from a Chevy family of 3 generations to be the first to buy a Ford or Dodge!
