traction control, stabilitrak, lifter #6

Stabilitrak, traction control and check engine light came on. The last time it was remedied, I changed the plug and the plug wire, clear the codes and it was fine - but 8 months later, it happened again with number 6 plug. Apparently this is common with the 5.3 Motors and there needs to be a recall on these. This time it was accompanied by a lifter tapping that wouldn't go away with an oil change or Lucas or even to change the coil. There are five other people in our area with the same motor and the same problem. I changed all the lifters on the right side of the vehicle. The cam was not damaged, thank God - otherwise it would have been $4,000. A good mechanic was worth a million bucks to me.
