The contact owned a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While driving and turning, the vehicle hydroplaned and struck a concrete wall head on. The vehicle then veered to the left and struck the center divider twice. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was totaled and towed. Most of the damage was to the front end of the vehicle and the driver's door could not be closed. The driver sustained bruises where the seat was located. The driver was transported to the emergency room for medical attention. The driver's face was bruised and a cat scan was performed to determine if there were any broken bones, but the tests were negative. The driver also twisted her ankle and there was a little bit of swelling on her knee. A police report was filed. The manufacturer wanted to visit the contact's home to examine the vehicle and find out why the air bags did not deploy. The dealer was not contacted. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was unknown.

We hydroplaned going about 40mph in raining conditions near richlands, nc on hwy 258. Overcorrected, fishtailed again into oncoming traffic, was hit in the driverside rear by a another car, hit the curb and rolled three times.

On December 7, 2017, I got into my vehicle and shortly after starting the ignition, but while the vehicle was still idle and in park, the driver's side airbag spontaneously deployed while I was putting on my seat belt. The vehicle was towed to a local Chevy dealership where it remains. GM central claims unit will not return my vehicle to me. Instead, they offered to purchase it from me for $3,300. GM central claims unit will not give me any information regarding the reason for the air bag malfunction. They told me it was confidential.

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While the vehicle was idling, the contact attempted to latch herself in the vehicle and the driver's air bag spontaneously deployed. There were no injuries. Mike anderson Chevrolet of Chicago (5333 w irving park rd, Chicago, il) was contacted and advised the contact to notify the manufacturer and insurance company. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they needed the contact to send them pictures as evidence of the failure. No further assistance was offered by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident while driving my 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer down a country road. I tried to avoid hitting an animal in the road and went onto the right shoulder when my right rear tire hit a pothole/asphalt and the tire blew. The vehicle started to tip to the left and then rolled approximately 13 times without one air bag deploying. I sustained multiple injures and surgery is now required.

The front seat passenger was injured and the driver struck the steering wheel and died at the hospital from internal injuries. We are trying to determine why the airbags did not deploy. The passenger was not wearing a seat belt and it also appears that the deceased driver was not wearing a seat belt.
