Power Steering Noise
2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.
This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.
Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.

Problem covered the 1st time under warranty. Replaced power steerng pump & rack. Then eighteen mos. ago Power Steering making noise. Took it to Managino's . Replaced power steering pump and rack 2n time.. I pd. 800.00 plus..Present 18mos. later 14,000mi. Brought to Managino's steering making noise. Power steering pump is bad & rack needs to be replaced this is the 3rd time, I told them to park it. they want 1.300.plus to fix it. Are you crazy?? So, they really screwed me.. Brought the suv home power steering fluid now seriously leaking . Wasn't leaking when it went into shop. Now I have to put a pan under it in my garage. Thank's Managino's. I leave a trail & puddles. I know it has to be fixed. I feel Chevy needs to man up. Their parts are crap. This being the 3rd time it should be a recall fix. I have owned severl Chevy's through the yrs. never had a problem like this. Is there anyone out there that has had same problem?? Anyone know a good mechanic that can fix this? I Want to thank Managino's mechanic who put the screws to me. I believe in KARMA....
