Service airbag system notice on dashboard. 4th event over 2 year period. Current mileage 25000. Dealer has now repaired wiring connections on front passenger side (twice). Sensor area near front left headlight, and front drivers side squib 2 circuit connector, though code thrown this time was for left side seat deployment squib 1. I am concerned that with so many areas of the system failing due to improperly installed or defective connections, that the system is likely to fail in in a crash when most needed! faults occurred both while vehicle was stationary and in motion. Location and direction of travel were random when faults occurred.

Airbags system malfunctioning, the car is indicating needs service for airbags system failure. This is a major risk for the safety of any driver. This issue has been reported to Chrysler. Thousands of cases in which Chrysler 200 from year 2015 to 2018 have a malfunction hazardous airbag system. Failure to deploy upon vehicle impact. Warning indication of system failure is a common problem and needs a safety recall. The manufacturer should recall these vehicles. It is unlawful for these vehicles not to operate a proper airbag system.

The dash board has been showing since 2017 -2018 "service airbab systeem with the red airbag sign lit. The sign comes and goes. It has been taken to dealers 3 times and not corrected. Chrysler has been called at the 18008531403 number. Now the dealer want to charge me since it is 2, ooo miles over warranty for this defective vehicle. The build date of this vehicle is August 18, 2015. There was a recall with same issue for build dates April 7, 2014 to August 3, 2015. This is unfair since this car was buiilt during the time. A recall is necessary on these cars too! this is a safety hazard for my family. The cost should be born by Chrysler.

This vehicle build date indicated August 2015 and it was sold as a 2016 vehicle. I have had constant problems with the service air bag system light coming on since 2016, 2017 and 2018 and I have called Chrysler at 1 800 853 1403 to report the problem. I have gone to the dealership to get fixed and a few months later the issues continues. Chrysler say there is no recall on this vehicle. This is dangerous. The vehicle is in motion when the service airbag system light comes on.

After a week of owning the vehicle, which was purchased from enterprise, my check engine light came own while on the highway with my family (wife and year ten month babe). We called the dealership and scheduled and appointment. Turns out the battery was dead. Got that fix and then while driving back home on the highway my airbag light came on with the check engine light as well. At the moment the light is still on and waiting to get my car in to my local dealership. I do not feel safe driving my Chrysler, even though it's a new car, but I need to get to work and a bus can't get me there. I hope this is a small fix and I can have my airbag system working again. I would feel safe. I have read and hear similar complaints of new owners with the the issues and dealerships refusing to service the work, even on cars with 30,000 miles. Please have this looked at or investigated, it would be a shame if something happens.

At 49,500 miles my 2016 Chrysler 200 "service air bag" came up on the panel. The dealer states that it is a passenger side harness and will need to be replaced. It is not part of any recall and not part of the extended warranty purchased. How does an airbag harness fail in 2 years. Sound more like a defect.

Transmission is slipping and can't seem to get into gear while driving and getting to freeway speeds can't reach a max of 55mph. Have had the car completely stall out on the freeway and put itself into "neautral" while at freeway speeds. Maintenance airbag lights frequently coming on. Chrysler can't seem to find a fix to the issue on why this car is doing what it has been. They keep saying ithe issue is fixed when publicly there is no real fix to the issue and they don't know how to fix the re accruing problem. Little to say, I am deathly afraid of driving this vehicle even down the street to my local grocery store. I work too hard and pay to much for my first brand new car to be having issues like these. I really wish Chrysler would recall all of these vehicles already before someone ends up loosing a life over a faulty lemon of a vehicle.

Takata recall, this new car is a 2016 200S with5000 miles. This car caused a accident on 02/09/16 when the front brakes locked up at 50 miles an hour. Sending the driver into a light pole. When the vehicle hit the pole the air bags did not deploy from the steering. The air bags over all doors did deploy and the air bags on the side of the front seat did deploy but never the steering wheel air bag. The brakes are faulty and have gone all the way to the floor when pressing on the brake. By pumping the brakes the brake would work. When the accident happened the driver pressed the brake to turn a corner but rather than the vehicle slowing down the brakes locked down in front and sent the vehicle across the road into a light pole.
