I was driving on the off-ramp of a freeway and my car abruptly stalled. There were no warning lights or anything. After several tries, my car started up again. Approximately 2 months later, the same thing happened while I was driving on the freeway. This time, it took approximately 20 minutes for my car to start up again.

After filling up with gas at the same place I always do I began to drive home at the first light I was fine at the 2nd light the car stalled I put it N and started the car up and drove home about 1 block. In the morning I started the car up to go to work it ran fine for the first 2 blocks the stalled again. I started it up again and drove to work. I was terrified. After getting it home I thought I would drive it around the neighborhood for a few days to be safe and not go on the freeway. It still hesitated and felt like it wasn't running right. Still wanting to stall. I then parked it for fear of being on the road and it stalling and someone running into me and killing me. With this many complaints about the same thing why is there not a recall on this problem. Are they waiting for someone to be killed first. I did love this car but cant drive something this unsafe....help

While driving 50mph, car starting making a knocking nose, then the car stopped. Car was towed to the mechanic. Engine failure "lock up motor" was the diagnoses. The oil in the vehicle was routinely changed. Just had a full tune up 4 month prior to the engine failing.

Our Chrysler 300C has stopped running while driving at least 10 times over the last year or so. On freeway and city streets. It usually starts back up once your stopped. My wife is afraid to drive it anymore. It is a very scary situation. No engine, no ps and no brakes. No code or check engine light. Everyone I have talked to with a 300 has had the same problem, no matter what the year or engine. Like most there is no sense taking it to dealer. They just say no code and give you some bs story about what caused it. No come up with a fix. Chrysler knows they have a problem and won't man up and fix it. They would rather someone die first to save money. It has to be in the computer. Just like Toyota and their fly by wire throttle that was causing all the crashes. What is the public suppose to do if they won't step up.

Car stalls intermittently. Will go weeks or even months without incident but then will stall several times when starting. Using when stalling process starts it will also die upon stopping. Car also will be driving down the street and will not be able to get past 3rd gear. Car will redline at about 45 mph but will not shift out of gear. Occasionally it will shift roughly and typically when gas is let up it will go into next gear. Has been doing these things off and on for the last year or so and when I tell the dealership about the problem they have not been able to diagnose the actual problem.

At any given speed there is a "loss of communication" as it is described by the mancari's of oak lawn dealership, where I purchased the vehicle, as well as have it serviced, between the transmission and the computer. This is apparently a huge problem with this make and model of this vehicle. As you can see on the website below. I have had the trans shifter replaced, as well as had the car "re-flashed" several times to no avail, and with no apparent solution in site. Many attempts have been made at reaching chrslyer - the manufacturer as suggested, but they seem to have no interest in dealing with customers beyond the sale of the vehicle.I wonder how many fatalities will have to ensue before they do anything about what I am sure are known issues by now, concerning their vehicles.

After filling up engine complete shut down, after pulling into intersection. Problem has happened about 6 times. Very careful not to fill tank full. As we have researched this problem, and find there are a lot of people with the same complaint. Very dangerous. Don't know what to do because, Chrysler doesn't seem to acknowledge the problem.. any help is appreciated.

Car stalls after refueling. Difficult to restart and leaves you in a very dangerous situation. We've had it completely stall going 70 mph down the interstate and almost was involved in an accident while limping to the shoulder. Too dangerous to re-merge after car finally restarts because it will hesitate and misfire or stall again. This will happen about every 2 months with no symptoms between incidents. Also seems to happen more in hotter weather.

We purchased this auto showroom new from the dealer in 2006. Although breaking was questionable, we accepted when told the system was fine and the jerking was normal. However, since April 2008 this vehicle has stalled off and on at the most unsafe times. The dealers have not been able to duplicate the problem so they will not repair it. We had a new factory engine installed ($7,000) in 2012 and guess what" this new engine has started stalling. All our work has been completed at a dealership so Chrysler can't claim that an auto shop might have done something wrong to the vehicle. After viewing all the same complaints and having it happen to my wife and I, why haven't you or Chrysler taken care of the problem" dokkkkkkkkkkkk

The first time it happened I was sitting at a red light waiting to turn left. The car just stalled. I restarted without difficulty. It was a few days after when it happened again. It has probably happened about 7 times more since then, every time while I was idling with my foot on the brake. Each time it restarted on the first try. However for the first time today the car stalled while in drive going about 15 mph.

Vehicle after filling shuts off in traffic or where ever you are within moments and is very difficult to restart, issue has occurred multiple times in heavy flow traffic. Initial time was making a legal U-turn after filing up and returning to traffic flow, vehicle completely shut down mid turn blocking all lanes of oncoming traffic, thank goodness to good defensive driving no collision occurred as did not make turn unsafely in front of on coming traffic.

Problem with 2.7 liter engine. Dealership said it was negligence on my part. Said I didn't do my oil changes correctly, said I would need a new engine. My extended warranty nor Chrysler would cover vehicle. Took it to another auto service shop. They said I didn't need a new motor. They clean out the heads and engine and said that it was not my fault that the 2.7 liter engine Chrysler engine had these problems from day one. I also was informed that there was others told the exact things, that they were at fault and Chrysler wouldn't pay. The professional tech's of Chrysler also advise against buying this model. Also look on the internet and there were people with 20,000 miles with the same problem told the same thing by Chrysler. Also Chrysler does not offer this engine sizes in the new models because of the problems with the 2.7 liters. My car was used at purchase and I average about 10,000 miles a year.
