The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while her husband attempted to reverse the vehicle out of the driveway, the transmission failed to engage in reverse. The transmission failed to shift out of the park position. The contact called airport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (5751 Eagle vail dr, orlando, fl 32822, (407) 734-3814) and the contact was informed to tow the vehicle to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the gear shifter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 144,000.

This is regarding the transmission. While driving, the transmission would suddenly jerk as it was about to shift. This would happen mostly when slowing down, then accelerating to merge with traffic. This is a recurring problem since I bought the car in 2007 to 2020! last occurred September 13, 2020.

I was driving my lights started flickering inside and out. I pulled over turned car off then back on and it was completely dead. Had it jump started and then push the gas and car wouldnt move. The it jumped into gear real hard and has been stuck in 2nd gear ever since.

The transmission went out. It was fine then then lights started flickering inside and out and then when I turned the car off and tried to turn it back on it was completely dead. No lights or power at all. Had to get a jump start. Then when I tried to go it was revving up but wouldnt move and then all of a sudden jumped into gear real hard. It had significant loss of power and would get up and go. It's real slow from the start and it dangerous driving it because it will just rev up and not move then jump into gear very hard. It has almost thrown my car into the back of other cars because it jumps so bad I to gear all of a sudden. Then when you try to get out of the way of another car coming G it sometimes barely moves and it very dangerous. It has been stuck in 2nd gear ever since. It had a lot of loss of power. I had the transmission replace 2 times and both including the original are all stuck in 2nd gear. Also when I turn the car it makes a loud popping cracking sound by the wheels. Like it's going to break. Also going over speed bumps it's really loud and squeaky.

The contact was able to gain access to the vehicle and the air bag inadvertently deployed and caught fire. The contact sustained burns to the face, hair, right arm, and a gash in the left leg. Medical attention was required. The contact stated that her clothing also caught fire. A police report was not filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V352000 (air bags) and 15V313000 (air bags). The vehicle was destroyed. The VIN was invalid.
