Thermostat Housing was leaking coolant slowly , causing the heat to turn cold. Put sealant on as temporary fix. Worked for a few weeks , then I'm just pulling away from my house , going about 25 mph , car doesn't want to accelerate, and I see grey smoke from hood area. Turned around Pull over a block from my house, open hood, and coolant is ALL OVER the engine area. Immediately turned car off, let cool, and husband drove it home to repair. I thought it was a blown head at first or cracked radiator, though there was never any overheating involved.

Battery light came on now, maybe from coolant spraying all over the engine area?
