This is the 3rd time within the last year the power steering fuse blew. The 1st two times I was making a hard left hand turn from a parked start. This time it blew going straight from a parked start. It take someone with pretty good strength to continue driving the car and fortunately for me it happened when I was driving. I don't believe my wife would have the strength or confidence to drive the car with no power steering had it occur to her. My fear is that it could blow while driving and while possibly going into a turn. This should be a safety recall from Chrysler but I have not received or seen anything.
Update from Oct 19, 2018: This is the 3rd time within the last year the power steering fuse blew. The 1st two times I was making a hard left hand turn from a parked start. This time it blew going straight from a parked start. It take someone with pretty good strength to continue driving the car and fortunately for me it happened when I was driving. My fear is that it could blow while driving and while possibly going into a turn. This should be a safety recall from Chrysler but I have not received or seen anything. I've read where others similar instances identified the problem to a faulty wire harness. I've also heard the dealer has replaced the power steering pump stating it's giving to large of surge and blowing the fuse. It cost this person $1,600.
