300 S AWD 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

This problem happened relatively quickly and is definitely a result of cheap plastics and adhesives that expand and warp when heated by the sun. It is very significant on the passenger side front and back door where the interior meets the window. It is now occurring on the driver front and back door as well as the portion of the center console that is made with the same slightly soft rubber/plastic material. I had to have the entire driver side door replaced due to a minor incident and that is likely why the driver door is the last to experience this issue.

It is frustrating, disappointing, and downright ugly on what has otherwise been an excellent vehicle.

After owning this car for 2 years, the drive and passenger door panels started to come off, bit by bit from the top, because of the heat. The only ways to fix it is by fixing it manually by adhesive or by replacing the whole door panel.
