Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact had to constantly pull the vehicle over, turn off the vehicle, and reset the computer in the vehicle to prevent the failure. The contact indicated that the failure became progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for further inspection. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. My speedometer cluster and heater A/C air conditioner climate temperature control lights quit working.I feel this is a hazard to driving, when you can not see how fast you going at night.I called Chrysler headquarters and they said there is nothing they can do.I am not the only car like this, there is other cars around the same year with the same problem.I think this should be checked into.

The engine light comes on and the mechanic would put the car on the machine but he could not find out what was wrong. The radio was the first to go out. There has been several times when the alarm system came on while I was in the house and there was no one near my car. Three years ago, the speedometer was not working one day while I was driving, but it started back working. Now there is something running my battery down over night. The alternator is alright and I replaced the battery. The tire pressure display is not working.

The contact owns 2002 Chrysler 300M. While the vehicle was parked the contact stated that the headlights would turn on and off on without assistance. The radio, cruise control and traction control also turned on and off as well. The tire pressure light illuminated on the dashboard but the tire pressure was checked and there was not a problem. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technicians were able to duplicate the failure but could not diagnose the failure since it was electrical. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.

Electrical issue started about six months after purchasing my 2002 Chrysler 300M. The lights would spontaneously flicker for no reason while driving. This happened while driving at night, luckily lights came back on. Battery drains out every 3-6 months. At the time of purchase the car was still under warranty- the dealer claimed they were unable to fix a problem if it wasn't occurring at their shop; alternator checked and was working. The battery issue has not been resolved. A year ago the problem with the 3rd gear began. I was driving with my children when the car seemed to have down shifted, it felt heavy. The car has also turned off while driving one time. Input/output speed sensors replaced, transmission oil changed, ground wire checked.

Originally the dash on the car would flicker on and off. For the last 16 months the number 7 fuse blows and takes out the dash and the tail lights. If you are driving at night it becomes a very dangerous situation. The dealers have looked at this problem a dozen times or more and it has yet to be resolved.
