I was planning to go to the dealership and have the two airbag recalls fixed. Before I had the chance to do that, February 22,2020, my vehicle was involved in a minor accident that is still under dispute, the driver side and passenger air bags both deployed and exploded open. The vehicle was hit on the left drivers side on the fender at less than 30 miles an hour the only airbags that deployed were the ones under active recall.

Takata recall. I can't believe that it takes this long, 11/2016 to get this taken care of. What if when driving this car we need this to protect us and it explodes hurting one of my family members. All the I am sorrys in the world won't help, it will be just another statistics for your recall. If they are stills building new cars with air bags what is more important our life or a new car. My car was new to, so am I supposed to stop driving it. This is ridiculous this needs to be fixed now no excuses. If it was yours it would have been done.

My car, Dodge Charger 08 has a recall since July of 2016 for the passenger airbag that the inflator may rupture which can cause metal fragments to be released throughout the car during a crash and cause other injury. I don't feel safe driving my car during this as I have a child and don't want them hurt during the possible case of an accident causing the airbag to deploy. The recall still hasn't been fixed, 8 months later, even though there is a government recall for it.
