The contact's wife owns a 2010 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that upon depression of the brake pedal, the shifter lever made an abnormal clicking sound when shifting gears, without warning. The contact linked the noise to a defective transmission shifter interlock lever. The vehicle had yet to be serviced or diagnosed. The contact had not experienced a failure however, if the vehicle was not repaired, the shifter interlock lever may become inoperable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The contact was then referred to NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

Takata recall: I have a 2010 Dodge Charger which since 2.5 years ago I've been having issues with the front end of the vehicle. I have replaced all the parts dealing with the suspension. I've purchased the car in 2014. In 2016 I've replaced the front end parts. 2017 same thing. It's now 2018 it's making the same exact noise once again. I love my car. But with these same issues year after year have to be a recall on the front end suspension.
