The ABS pump on my G Caravan stops working intermittently, leaving me with no power brakes. The dealer says they can only repair the problem if I bring it in while it is malfunctioning. They don't suggest I drive it, yet I have to drive it for it to malfunction. My regular mechanic has pinpointed the problem, but the dealer won't accept his evaluation. Dodge has had serious problems with these ABS systems, to the point where they had to place some of the major components (very expensive!) under permanent warranty. This has occurred numerous times, and has been looked at by different dealerships with no resolution.
