I find it hard to believe that Chrysler knows this is a problem in these vans and wants to install a newly designed belt to fix the problem for about 250 bucks? This thing comes off every time it rains. I had to pay for towing a new belt a new tensioner pulley .. It cost over 500 bucks.. and now I'm told I need get the newly designed belt for another 250??? plus labor.

Several months ago the fan belt began slipping. I feel rain/puddles are part of the problem. I go to an independent shop for service. They have been very helpful and persistent. The belt has been replaced a couple of times, the tensioner has been replaced, every nut and bolt has been tightened. They have run out of things to try!
