Lower ball joint of drivers side wheel failed while traveling in straight line on expressway. The vehicle suffered major damage to steering, drive train and body. Failure occurred 450 miles from home. Decided not to repair vehicle because of parts availability and cost.

While driving at approximately 70 mph, the differential came apart, resulting in vehicle shut down. Driver had to have vehicle towed to a transmission shop. Also, the ball joints on the front left wheel broke apart.
