The vehicle's controls suddenly go crazy, lights start flashing, radio goes off, the engine stalls, and at one time the engine went off while I was sitting in traffic. The engine light is now on constantly. The car has been serviced every 3000 miles as long as I have owned it, and other than that it runs like a charm.

I took the vehicle to 4 different independent repair shops over the last 7 years, and of course each one found something to repair. They replaced the battery, alternator and NVLD pump unit, and after about $2000 later on repairs, I was told that it could be the computer.

The strange thing is, sometimes I go months before this happens again. The car's speed, outside temperature, when I fuel the car - nothing seems to cause this 'fit'; nevertheless it is quite scary when it happens. Once it happened on an icy freeway on my way to Pennsylvania.

There are literally hundreds of similar complaints on the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, and even though there seem to be recalls out there to fix this problem, the 2007 was not included in it. I was told my Dodge today that the recalls are 'VIN driven", and mine wasn't in there.

Well, I reported this problem to them, and if this will cause me to have an accident, I plan on taking legal actions.
