I purchased this vehicle used on 11/27/2019 from AutoNation Chevrolet Timonium. On 06/15/21, the car stalled in the middle of the road while I was driving. I was able to start it and make it home. I had AAA tow it to the AAA Center in Timonium, MD and was charged $905.16 to have a fuel pump module assembly. The AAA staff did indicate to me they were not sure if this would be a permanent fix, but I had them proceed anyway. I know nothing about car mechanics, so I relied on their best guess.

On 10/13/21, I had the car towed this time to Antwerpen Dodge Dealership in Catonsville, MD, assuming Dodge might be able to fix the problem when AAA couldn't. I paid $1347.59 this time to have the "fuel pump relay replaced."

On 08/31/22, I had AAA tow the car to Antwerpen in Catonsville for the same problem. On 08/29/22 the car stalled while I was on the ramp to enter Beltway 695. I was able to make it to the side and eventually get home. The next day, the car stalled after I started the ignition and pulled off. Antwerpen kept the car until 09/06/22 and was not able to find the cause. This time I was not charged. However, the problem is still there and I worry about where I'll be when it next occurs and what danger I pose to myself and others.

Every morning my I try and start my van, it takes about 3 to 4 minutes of turning the key over and over till it turns over. After that I can turn it off and on with no issues. If I leave it parked for longer then 1 hour, it will give me trouble starting. It seems like the longer I leave it parked the more trouble it gives me to start. My mechanic can't seem to find the problem.

After replacing fuel pump the new one doesn't shut off. I am now told have to have the TIPM replaced at a price starting at 1,200 dollars. Looked this up on the internet and found out about all of these things not working. Called dodge mopar. Was told basically 'oh well you have to pay to fix it'. Went to local dodge dealer after reading about all the people who still had problems after this fix. Asked them if they would give me a written warranty that any more problems with this they would fix it free. They won't, guess they know the parts and work. Then went out to the lot and got a sales rep. to come over by looking at a new van. Asked him how the company stood behind their product. Was told they would behind it all the way. At this point I took him to my van and asked how much for trade in. He said he would have to have his guys look at it. I told him who to get. Needless to say they weren't too happy. At this point after listening to sales rep. go on about how much his wife loves her van. Asked him if he wanted her to drive around in mine. He didn't know what to say. This is my 3rd. caravan. But it will be my last. For the simple fact dodge does not care about customers and knows it has junk parts. But refuses to step up and fix. I will be having my van fixed at a different garage having a different switch put in for fuel pump. I just can't believe nothing is being done about this

Okay....here we go. . Out of the blue my 2011 Dodge Caravan just stopped starting. Okay, one little bump we just sunk $2000 into a new transmission but hey, everybody has car trouble. So I had it towed ($65) to find out that it is a relay to the fuel pump that is no longer working properly. Has to be fixed by a dealer. Grrreattttt. Got it to run enough to get it to the dealership in the next town over. The part has to be ordered and there are already over 1000 on back order. No idea when we will be able to get the part and no, we can't give you a car in the meantime. No I don't have a number that you can call to complain... that's okay the internet does www.dodgeproblems.com - very eye opening....looooottttttt of recalls.

I call the 1-800 number and am put on hold for a while while the customer care person calls the dealership ( very polite young woman). When she comes back on the line I am told that we have the option of spending a little more money to replace the whole unit vs the small part that was not working. I informed her we had already received this offer but the "little more money" option was the difference between $300 and $1300...on a part that evidently ought to be recalled. I asked if they could give me the unit at the price of the part as they could not provide the part but had plenty of the units. She looked into and stated that it was not possible.

No time frame on fixing the item I purchased from them...never missing a payment nor lapsing in insurance coverage. Just indefinite inability to take my kid to school, do the everyday errands that make up life and, oh yeah, make sure someone can get up to see my mother-in-law who is in the hospital.

Thank you for your time.
