Inferior design built with plastic that warps, gets brittle, cracks due to high engine heat of engine compartment. Dorman & other companies make replacement metallic oil filter housings yet Dodge denies there's a problem. Dodge blame customer or others for over torqued oil filter cover. Catastrophic engine failure is a sure thing if you spring a leak on a long drive or don't notice the leak immediately. I planned to buy a new Dodge pickup but have changed my mind due to the poor prep, inferior parts, brake pulsation from day one, rust bubbling under paint when new (due to poor metal prep/parts storage prior to assembly).
