Wife was driving and thought she saw smoke coming from under the hood. When she stopped she realized it was steam. Opening the hood she noticed that the steam was coming from the radiator overflow tank. She called roadside assistance and had the vehicle towed to the mechanic. The mechanic ordered the part but was told it wouldn't be available for 1 week. The part arrived and was fitted and the radiator was pressure tested only to find another leak at a gasket on the motor. Another weeks wait for the part and it was fitted. Pressure test done and the front and back gaskets where found to be leaking.

This time the gasket arrived in two days as a kit but it had two front gaskets and no rear gaskets. They ordered the rear gasket again but the front gasket arrived. Note in all this is that the gasket part numbers were correct on the packet but wrong part in the packet. Eventually the right gasket arrived. When replacing the front gasket I had them replace the Timing Chain and parts as that cover had to be removed to change the gasket. The whole cost included replacing the Timing Chain as it was worn. The whole repair took over three weeks because of delays in getting parts.
