Several cracks all along dash board from window seal to front of airbag/vent sections, when I showed the dealer who I bought it from, they brushed me off like I was complaining of cosmetic damage. I consider these cracks a manufacturer defect that hold vital components if I or my passengers were ever in a wreck, my vehicle interior was in excellent condition when I bought it from the used lot in October 2001, I can't say the same for the mechanics. The first day I had to return it for the harmonic balancer, then the emerg brake light stayed on, then the ABS brake light which lead to replacement of drums, rotors, and calipers. In Feb 2003 I had to take it in for windshield wiper motor burn out, and this last month the waterpump went out. Can you advise me as to what is normal wear and tear and what parts aren't supposed to have to be replaced on a vehicle that now has 82,000 miles and regular upkeep" and if the sound of air blowing thru loose metal is what my truck should sound like when I accelerate from a normal stop" thank you for your time, amber.

Purchased vehicle with 49,000 miles on it August 2002 since it has been back to the dealer a minumum of 7 times brakes wore out and in to the drums, check engine light on engine not running properly and 5 times for transmission problems not one time has the vehicle been repaired other than for brakes which I had to threaten with a complaint to the state police because of having a new inspection sticker on the vehicle iam still having problems with transmission was told needed a new unit now since out of warranty even though I have documentation it was having problems be fore warranty ran out; now I was told that the performance and runnibility and oil consumption problem is due to a intake gasket failure. A real piece of quality junk Dodge is putting out. Maybe thats why they went away from their 7/70000 mile warranty on these models.

Anti-lock brakes. Numerous issues. Brake linings on the rear drums have a very short service life. Replaced drums and linings in July of 2002. Drums and linings required replacement again in may of 2003 (approx. 20,000 miles) front pads were replaced in July of 2002 and still have 1/2 of linings left. On bumpy roads, brake system fades in and out. On wet roads, brakes may or may not work reliably. From researching your site, these are not uncommon occurrences. When will this be addressed?

While driving vehicle at 65 mph, consumer had to make a sudden / emergency stop. The brakes failed to grab. Stopping distance was extended. Took vehicle to dealer & the mechanic had the rear shoes/ rotors and pads replaced. The pads were glazed over. Brakes had faded out at 35 mph. The vehicle would drift from left to right. Had steering gear box replaced & wheels realigned. The computer systems failed to register correct gas mileage per gallon. Brakes still do not function properly.
