Van was shifting strangely and stalling in reverse. Did not act consistently. Trans shop said I needed a rebuild, but fluid was really clean. looked on web and found the 93- 96 years had soldering problems on the speedometer module. I pulled the instrument panel, and found the speed signal to the computer was bad. Took the board to my tech at work, he re soldered the whole board (surface mount) problem went away completely. Ford has tsb's on this but won't admit it unless pressed.
