When the battery died I had a friend jump the car. Immediately the driver's side door lock would not respond to the remote keyless entry transmitter first key press. I can hear the receiver attempting to unlock the driver's side door at the first key press but the door remains locked. All the other locks, including the hatch, unlock on the second click of the transmitter. Only the driver's door is affected.
The service manager at Ford's Serramonte Repair Facility in Colma, CA immediately estimated it would cost $225.
Unacceptable after four years of ownership.
I will never buy another Ford or American car.
