My fianc�e's Ford Escort keeps having the check-engine light come on. A friend of hers was able to check the diagnostics with his own equipment but couldn't see any problem that would warrant the light coming on. This is a hassle here in California since the smog-checking stations will usually charge extra to investigate the check-engine light.
