(reported on)F-450 6.0 V8 Diesel
Vehicle has been shopped four times for exactly the same symptoms: truck lost power and is very hard to start and warm up. All four times there was work done to the turbo charger. Local dealer seems to pull our chain though. First time the work was all turbocharger. Second time there was some turbocharger work and dealer claimed the fuel was contaminated. Third time, more turbocharger work and recall work to emissions sensor. Fourth time, more turbocharger work, four injectors replaced and dealer claimed the other four injectors need to be replaced, but would not be under warranty. They claimed the oil looked really dirty and suspected it had never been changed. I informed the dealer that the oil had been changed and the oil probably contained unburned diesel which caused it to appear really black. It made no difference to them. So, this is an issue being worked by Ford Motor Company directly.
