The dealer has told me Ford has a class action suit for this problem, parts to correct is a long time coming and basically cannot be fixed! After 3-times of bringing it in because it is such a safety item. When pulling out and you have on coming traffic and you just sit there sooner or later you will have an accident. It is dangerous. At other times it will just sit there and shudder.

So Ford listen- it is not just a transmission problem with the clutches, its a huge safety item!! It keeps getting worse!! I want a new car or monies for my losses now not next year before the transmission fails or have a bad accident. The car is a lemon period! remember this a Major Hazard-

SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!

For three time I drop my car in to the dealer for the same problem, the fix or patch and after few month the problem is back. I contact with the Ford regional manager and she respond the car is designed like that, and is impossible change the transmission because nothing is wrong. I let know her about the possibility of the accident specific when I on traffic lights, and she respond they not have a report that's happen.

FEDERAL SAFETY TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT to be involve in this matter.

Fiesta SE 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

We bought this car new after a test drive. The transmission was smooth and quiet. I remarked to my wife after owning it several months that it was the nicest shifting "Automatic" I'd ever driven and she agreed. As the car aged the transmission started rattling. We got notice that Ford was extending the warranty to 100K on the transmission. The noises got worse and we took it to the dealer.

They told us the clutches needed replacement and took the car in for repair. During the work they replaced the transmission oil seals. They also reprogrammed the computer.

We got it back and it was worse when it came back than when it went in. The noises are worse, the transmission hesitates when you depress the gas pedal, there is a high pitched buzz at 65 mph on the freeway and fuel consumption has dropped from an average of 32.6mpg to 31.2mpg.

I returned it to the dealer today and expressed my dissatisfaction. I considered getting rid of this car due to this problem, but I doubt anyone would buy it in it's present condition. I certainly would not have bought this car had the transmission been like this from new.

I bought my 2012 Ford Fiesta in March of 2012. After a couple of months the speakers blew, then after about 6000 km or so I started having problems with the transmission .. @hen starting it would shudder and shake .. I reported it to my dealer but they are doing nothing about it or they don't know how to fix it .. They reflashed it now 2 times.

It's is now 2014 and I am still having a lot of trouble with it and still they are not doing anything for me .. I'm afraid that it might cause me to have an accident because of it ... Took it back to them on Nov 3 2014 and told that the transmission is now leaking ... I'm not to please with it, been a valid customer for years. We buy 2 machines at a time, car and truck, but this is my last car ... Think they should take back the piece of junk and give me something else seeing they can't fix the problem ..

Then I had trouble with the wiring, it all melted, lost my headlights driving in the night at the time .. So they had to put new wire harness through it and I had to pay some on that. NOT PLEASE WITH THAT

Fiesta SEL

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,000 miles

I went to Kia of Redding looking to trade in my 09 Pontiac G5. I wanted a Kia Optima or something similar. Well I didn't qualify. I drove the Ford first and I thought it was cute and well on gas. The KIA Sol actually shook more when I did the test drive. So I bought the 2012 Ford Fiesta.

About a few weeks into having it I noticed when I slightly accelerated after a stop or red light it would shudder and vibrate, also rpm would spike. Seems like it has trouble shifting gears. This does not happen daily. I would say 3-4 days out of the week. I did get a notice in the mail (not a recall) but a protection plan saying if there are any transmission issues to bring it in to be looked at. That's great, problem is I have read 100's of consumers with the same issues and FORD DOESN'T SEEM TO KNOW HOW TO FIX!!!!!!! If they cannot fix this issue they need to make a recall or give everyone new cars.

I'm stuck in 6 years of payments and I don't want 6 years of worrying about my transmission. Especially because I need a vehicle for my line of work. I transport clients. If I have no car, I have no job!!! Luckily the paper says they will fix it all up until 100,000 miles. But what happens after that???!!! There has been people in accidents due to this. The transmission shudders and stalls ... On the plus side she is a reliable car.. Good gas mileage. Doesn't shudder daily. But when it does I'm one mad buyer!! If Ford cannot fix the solution I will be going through the lemon law!!!!!

Fiesta LX 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission

It's a really bad experience with my first new car. Thought only VW has the shuddering issue before I bought Fiesta which gives me the same issue finally. Just reported this problem to service department which asked me to book a follow-up check with them next month so they can take out the transmission and inspect. This will cost me a few days without use of car.

The Service department and the sales staff refuse to understand the problem and are not sufficiently trained to fix it. If there is no fix they should replace or buy this vehicle back!
