my son was returning from military training with other soldiers and they stopped at a rest stop. When they returned to the car, they saw the smoldering under the back seat. Then the seat went up in flames. They were able to get their equipment out of the car/trunk. No one smokes or was eating in the car. The fire department arrived and put out the fire. The car appears to be a total loss, it was towed to the towing company lot and will be taken to the closest ford dealer on Monday morning. All the men are safe, no injuries. They were able to get rides to their desitinations. Just so thankful they were not traveling down the I95 corridor when this happened. I am awaiting pictures/ video from the occupants when they arrive at their respective destinations. We will follow up to this forum. Should be interesting!.....
