Once again I was on my way to work, barely a mile from home when the dinging started and the pull over safely light came on. I noticed that both times this happened I was in EV mode and less than a mile into my trip.Once again, I was able to pull over and restart it.

Took it to the dealer. This time they kept it for a week, but were not able to reproduce the problem and there were no codes. Ford had them perform EEC and Pinpoint tests but didn't find anything. They reprogrammed the PCM and gave it back to me. I love the car, but no longer feel safe driving it. It scares me that I might be stranded in these below zero temperatures or that it will happen in a spot where I can't quickly pull over.

Fusion Hybrid 501A 2.5L I4 Hev

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,400 miles

The Grey Knight was full of gas, fully charged, warmed up for the cold morning, while I was in the middle of the highway the vehicle turned off for no reason (both Hybrid and gas engine). The "Stop Safely Hazard Warning" (RTT) light beamed into my mind from the dashboard menu. Now I have a problem with the Hybrid component? So the Hybrid engine is not working correctly with only 1,400 miles on the clock!! I have always owned Ford's and I am a Ford Motor Company common stock owner. Ray Skillman Dealership was nasty and this will be my last visit to their Service Department!! I will take my vehicle to Capital City Ford, way over on the east side of Indianapolis.

I now have a rental vehicle and found out that this RTT problem is common and for some reason other dealerships think that it's the wiring near the PCM? I know that Skillman will not fix the problem, they will think that I will walk away after paying $31,000 for a vehicle that quits running in the middle of the interstate.
