When I was braking I would notice a scratching metalic sound coming from the front of the car when the car slowed to 15 mph or so all the way to halt. Realized that brake pads must be worn out, so I took the car to an Exxon station here in NC and they took a look, recommended new brake pads all around and they resurfaced the rotors for me as well.
