My car stalls alot. But I noticed that it is worse when it is really cold. I was told the propblem was ice in the carb (how that happened I have no idea), but when the carb was cleaned the problem continued. I have had the car just over a year and this is the only problem I have had other than ones I knew about when I got the car. No one can figure out what the problem is but everyone seems to have ideas. I would like to know what the fix is so that I don't have to worry about getting stuck in intersections (cuz that's where it always stalls) and risk an accident.

My T-bird has been continually stalling out. Sometimes it restarts but most of the time I have to let it sit for a period of time before I can restart it. I have taken it to four different garages and paid over $1,000 total. Each time the garage has replaced a part (so far — distributor, ignition module, ignition switch, fuel filter, etc.,) or tested and ran the car only to say it runs fine. I’m at a loss. The problem has been going on for over a year. Could it be the fuel pump, computer or the fuel safety cut-off switch? Help.

This car is a nightmare. I had it at one mechanic and said it was the crankshaft sensor, that wasn't the problem then i was told it was the fuel pump and that also wasn't the problem. So i'm really tired to dumping money into this car and no one seems to know what is wrong with it. It will go for a lot of miles before it stalls and sometimes it won't go far at all. So if anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate it. Thanks.
