There is no recall for the Transit Connect, but there are recalls for other Ford cars/trucks issues of their windshield not being attached and sealing properly. So Ford is aware of them.
THIS is extremely DANGEROUS - do not drive your Transit Connect until you get your windshield fixed. I accidentally discovered my windshield was not secure. There was condensation on the inside and when I went to wipe it away the windshield moved out at the top. I have no idea how long I have been driving my car like this.
I don't know what it is going to cost to fix the problem. The windshield repair people will get back to me. I am going to call a Ford dealership to see what they have to say. But since there is no Recall, it is unlikely it can be fixed free of charge.
I am really concerned that there are Transit Connect owners out there driving around, who are not even aware their windshield is not secure. Ford needs to issue a recall NOW!
