My speedometer, ABS light, and O/D off light all are on. The master cylinder was leaking brake fluid everywhere. I replaced the bottom part with a factory Ford part. The leaking has stopped, however the brake fluid leaked all over and has caused severe damage to the vehicle. I believe Ford should be held liable for this and replace all computers and parts that were affected by.

1. none specific. The recall has been performed that replaces some wiring in order to avoid possible fire. 2. the failure is a yellow ABS brake light and red brake light on the dashboard instrument cluster coming on together fairly often but not always. I understand these lights, specifically the ABS light, means the ABS braking system is not in operation meaning probable longer stopping distances. I suspect as others have suggested these lights are caused by a heat buildup problem in the ABS module that causes the module to warp and fail. 3. the problem is ongoing.

The ABS light continues to stay on at all times. Periodically, the brake light also lights up and simultaneously, the speedometer doesn't work. The brake light and speedometer malfunctioning occurs about once a month. I've taken my car into a Ford dealership to check the ABS light. They say the entire module needs replaced, but there's nothing wrong with the car mechanically. The recall for the scds has already been performed on my car, but the ABS light error has never been corrected. To replace the module, the dealership told me I would have to pay $1800. I have come to understand that there are many Ford Windstar owners who have the exact same problem and I believe that this problem is due to faulty materials or wiring. I have three children and one on the way and don't feel safe driving this vehicle without the proper safety features I was promised - including anti-lock brakes.

Brake light (red) and ABS brake lights (yellow) stay on. I went to replace fuse #10 and it keeps blowing out. Speedometer and odometer do not function. Cruise control does not work. A/C does not work. The O/D light flashes after about 30 seconds after the vehicle starts and continues to blink until the vehicle is shut off. I took it into a Ford dealership today to have them perform the 09S09H recall and it did not change anything. All issues seem to be associated with this 'leaker' scds that was replaced, but that caused further damage to the ABS ECM unit causing it to fail.

ABS light has been on for several years, but mechanics can find no problem with brake system. As of last week, odometer displayed dashes, speedometer is not operating, and there is little to no stopping capability in the brakes. No brake fluid, apparently.

The contact owns a 2002 Ford Windstar. After starting the vehicle one morning, all of the instrument panel lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer on two occasions, but they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. One month later, the speedometer and fuel lights stopped illuminating. The contact was unable to determine how fast he was driving or how much fuel was in the vehicle. He took the vehicle back to the dealer and they replaced the acm module. They also replaced an instrument panel sensor, which repaired most of the failures. The ABS light and traction light are still illuminated. Through research, the contact found numerous complaints of other consumers with the same vehicle that were experiencing identical failures. He believes that this is a manufacturer defect and a recall should be issued. The failure mileage was 100,000 and current mileage was 126,000.

The vehicle was taken to a service dealer, where the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. The manufacturer was also notified. There was a squeaking noise when the sliding door was closed.
