Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The front drivers side 8 way seat moves forward and back under hard braking and acceleration. The movement is more than an half inch. The dealer said the manufacture knows about the problem and there is no fix for it. I feel very unsafe in this car with seat the moving around.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the vehicle seat would not move forward or backwards. The failure occurred intermittently. The dealer stated that it could possibly be a safety issue for a person over 5'10 and 250 lbs if a crash occurred. The dealer stated that the seat railings would not function properly for a person of the contact's stature. The manufacturer stated that they would not be liable for any safety issues because the contact was notified of the safety risk involved. The current mileage is 5,700 and failure mileage was 1,600.
