Envoy LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,000 miles

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING, THEN THE REDUCED POWER LIGHT COMES ON AND THE SPEED SLOWS DOWN TO ABOUT 20 MPH. I HAVE HAD THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL CHANGED TWICE. THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED, AND IT HAS STARTED AGAIN. THE DEALER NOR MY MECHANIC CAN FIND THE PROBLEM.

Envoy 4.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 145,000 miles

Vehicle loses power as reduced engine power light comes on. Slows to 20 mph. You can regain power by putting the vehicle in neutral and turning the vehicle off and on again. Some days, it will do it 1-2 times, other days 25 times. Sometimes it will go 2-3 days without doing it. My daughter almost got hit on the side because it lost power as she pulled out on a busy street. Check engine light codes point to everything I have already replaced (pedal sensor, fan clutch, and computer). Two repair shops have completely given up on it. They have no idea how to resolve the issue after having the car for over a month each.
