There is a leak on the top right hand side of the A/C condenser resulting in hot air coming out of the vents when the A/C is enabled. After some research I found that this is a common issue and GM has to take responsibility for it. GM already issued a tsb for the 2015 - 2017 Tahoe, Yukon, and escalades with the same engines and equipment as my 2015 GMC Sierra with 45000 mi. Tsb # 17336 air conditioning condenser (combi-cooler) refrigerant leak

What happened to the Yukon A/C issue happened to me. What would it take to make sure the Sierra has the same recall as the Yukon? "Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles, may have a condition where thermal cycling on the combination transmission fluid/oil and ac condenser cooler creates a crack that may allow refrigerant to escape. This condition consequently may deactivate the ac system which may cause potential customer annoyance."

Torque converter. Me and along with 4 other people are having problems with it. Upon start up and driving it starts to get sluggish and then just comes almost to a complete stop only building RPM's accrodding to the GM dealership it's normal. With all the GMC trucks I've owned it has never done this. And is only starting to do it over the past couple of months. I've talked to a guy who just had 2 replaced in his truck and is continuing to have the problem. To avoid any vehicle damage for anyone else I'm considering if you can check and see if anyone else is having the issue. I take very good care of my truck I don't mud in it or drive it crazy(wreck less). Dealership is also pretty much refusing to look into the problem or diagnosing it considering that it's 'normal' for the truck do that. Which I strongly disagree.

I turned on the rear defroster, and my daughter said "mom, it's sizzling." I looked back and there was smoke on the rear window. Then there was a loud bang, and it shattered. The vehicle was not in motion at the time. I was just getting ready to back out of the parking area in my driveway.

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra with 95,198 miles on it. The ac started blowing hot air when I was driving to work. I purchased and installed an ac refill kit, which only lasted a couple of hours. I took my truck to the local GM dealership to diagnose problem. Dealership called to tell me that it would be $800+ to replace ac condenser. Upon further investigation I discovered that faulty ac condensers, and compressors are very common problems in certain GMC, Chevy, and Cadillac vehicles. Why are consumers stuck paying out of pocket for known defects that are in excess of $800?

The air conditioning started blowing hot air while moving. The truck is only 4 years old with 75000 miles on it. In doing research we have learned that this is a common problem with the GMC Sierra's and it not covered by GM even though it appears to be a design flaw.

Like so many others, my truck is not very old and has been blowing hot air for months. It appears to be the same condenser issue as reported by hundreds if not thousands more. After discovering this is chronic issue and ac delco * discontinued the original condenser * issued tsbs for the condenser which include a bracket to help prevent the issue (tsb pit5331 / Oct 2014) (tsb pie0340 / May 2015) neither of these were either applied to my vehicle or were not effective in preventing the issue. It seems obvious that this is a defect in materials and workmanship based on their issuing of these tsbs and failure to recall these vehicles under warranty. They've apparently operated a blatant "let's wait and see" campaign, hoping those of us that didn't catch this under warranty will fall out of warranty as I have. Several law firms have initiated class action suits against GM in regards to this, but it seems like that's a good chance to get lawyers rich and not get my truck fixed, or get a check for $9.99... as a summary - my truck began blowing warm air last fall, but I didn't recognize it as an issue as the weather was also turning cool and I wasn't using the A/C. ac/delco and General Motors knows this is chronic and avoidable issue the faulty parts have been replaced when the products fail under warranty no effort has been made to replace the knowingly faulty parts.

Air conditioner blows hot air as a result of line system leak. Air conditioning failure do to known tsb pit5331. GMC has covered this issue for like SUV models (escalade, Tahoe, Yukon), but wants over $1,000 to repair GMC Sierra 1500 at GMC dealership. This is a faulty product design that is a known problem per their own service bulletin, and associated harness to enforce faulty air conditioner unit design.

My 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 (approximately 45,000 miles) had a defect that caused the ac system to crack and leak refrigerant, lose pressure, and fail to properly function. When I took my vehicle to a certified GM service center on 4/11/19, three other similar vehicles (make/model/year) were experiencing the same issue. Upon conducting further research I found that this issue is widespread amongst similar year GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickups. So much so that some areas are experiencing ac condenser replacement part shortages. My vehicle was no longer under warranty and GM refused to assist with the over $1,200 repair bill.
