I understand there was a class action lawsuit filed and GM was not held liable as of late 2018. However, the number of consumers included in the suit is not reflective of all of those affected. Most owners of these vehicles (GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe, etc) were never asked to join the lawsuit.

My dashboard is cracked above the instrument panel AND at the passenger side airbag. I have a huge concern that the safety and integrity of the airbag, should it be deployed, is greatly affected.

I have NOT had a replacement completed, as the estimated cost was over $1,000 and I could not afford it.

I would like to be part of the next class action suit, should it be re-filed.

This may be a safety issue as the passenger side crack may affect the operation of the airbag. Its hard that in this country, and that a GM vehicle in this day and age would have dashboard that would split open like this.

I bought this car, used, from my work about 9 months ago. I noticed a hairline crack a few months ago on the dashboard but didn't pay much attention to it. Until recently when it all of a sudden has become more like a large crevice. I asked one of the guys who reconditions interiors if there is a way to fix it and he said this is a common problem in this model and that even if they glue it, it won't hold because you can't get it clamped. He said the best way to fix it if wanting to just glue it would be to take it completely off and glue it from the inside but that it's so much work it would be better to just replace it which runs in the hundreds. Not planning on spending hundreds of dollars to fix it but am worried after reading other complaints regarding the dash about how bad it will get.
