I have a 97 Civic LX with green color., I bought and have the car since 2001- Since last year suddenly paint on roof and trunk faded so badly. I also see many other Honda cars with almost same age with this problem. We really need an answer from Honda Manufacturing on paint issue SOON.

The paint started fading in large spots turning white 2 years ago. I'd like to know if Honda has acknowledged this as a problem on the 1997 Civics.....they should pay for the repainting.

I bought the car in 2003 and almost immediately the paint on the hood started stripping rapidly. Very soon after it started spreading all over the car

There is no reason the paint should be doing this. It looks like a bad sunburn. It is turning white and fading and the spots keep getting bigger and bigger. I have seen this problem on every other car of this year on the road. Honda should pay for repaint for all of us. I also have a 98 doing the same thing ! For comparison, a family member owns a 98 Toyota that is fine.
