I took my car in for inspection at an independent garage because I don't trust dealership service. My rear strut apparently was leaking and it barely passed the "bounce" test. I was over my warranty by 763 miles! I called the local dealerships with no success. They said they couldn't guarantee anything but if I made an appointment they would look into it. However they would charge me just to look at it. I knew if I brought it in they would charge me some high amount and say they would apply it to fixing the problem. I called Honda and they were no help either, I registered a complaint but that was about it. So I'm taking it back to my garage where I know they are honest and I can't believe that Honda wouldn't help me out and gain a life long customer. In addition they have had problems with front struts in a different year. Maybe they have some quality control issues within the company.
