I had the belt tensioner arm pivot bolt fail and it was fixed under a recall. But, a year and a half later it failed again. After removing the portion that snapped off in the block and replacing the bolt, I started my car and the water pump pulley fell OFF! The pulley is a force fit on the shaft had cracked through over time and was just spinning on the shaft. The inside was burnished and where the crack likely started had slight corrosion. The response from Honda? Oh, the recall is complete. Sorry, can't help you!!!!!
Conclusion: their engineers are morons. And their customer service sucks. They screwed up. They should be open to fixing their mistakes.
