This has happened several times, but after I turn the car off the daytime running lights remain on. It has killed my battery before as the daytime running lights remained on the whole night. I eventually had the daytime running lights removed, but the bulbs for the daytime running lights are the same bulbs as the high beams, so now I don't have high beams. I figured I'd rather go without high beams than have my battery constantly die.
