The 2006 Honda was stopped at an intersection with the owner driving and the owners son in the passenger seat. There was a car stopped in front of them. The owners car was hit from behind and pushed into the front car. None of the airbags deployed. Both front seat belts failed causing the driver to impact the steering wheel and the passenger to impact the dashboard. Both driver and passenger went to the emergency room and were diagnosed with chest contusions. The seat belts remained pulled out (they didn't retract after the accident). The vehicle is being repaired and the owner has requested that all seat belt parts be turned over to the owner.

My previous 2006 Honda Civic LX 2 door coupe was involved in a front and rear end crash and none of the airbags deployed. I was at a complete stop in traffic and was rear ended. The car in front and the car behind me both had their airbags deploy. The car behind rear ended me and then I hit the car in front of me and that car into another car in front of that and another car in front of that 5 cars involved. I contacted Honda Motors usa concerning this and they told me the reaction by my car was "normal" under the circumstances. My insurance totaled the vehicle. Only up until now did I know where and how to file a complaint. I feel this was an error and a failure of the vehicle. Luckily nobody was hurt in this accident.

I have a Honda Civic 2006 (lease) this car has 2 recall one on 8/30/07 and on 11/07 but the dealer never sent me any warning, note, letter or call to notify this situation, I read that by fed law they should contact me and let me know the ricks that this issue can cause me. I called because I had a problem with my car keys code and they told about this and they said sorry because they do not know why I was not notify about this I very disappointed because that is very dangerous and I do not get notify at all, I had 3 cars with the Honda all 3 are lease cars so it is not excuse that they cannot contact me also I am living T the same place for more than one year and I got my Honda bill every month.

Driving North through intersection about 35-40 mph in kinston nc yesterday cloudy but dry day. An automobile was directly in path heading West. I slammed on breaks but still collided with the side of a small minata. Point of impact was dead front middle. I recalled thinking to myself that it was not that bad of an impact because the airbag did not deploy. Right at this point I was coasting to a stop when the airbag did deployed. A lot of good that did! I am concerned for others safety that the airbag on my 2006 Honda Civic did not deploy and have read other complaints on this site.

2006 Honda Civic problems with the airbag system. Consumer states that airbag indicator lamp states off and is unsafe in case of an accident. Dealer reset the light twice. The consumer was informed by a representative that the dealer tries to avoid replacing the defective part because of the cost.

On November 19th, 2007 I was coming home from work alone in my 2006 Honda Civic ex on a dirt road. I was not speeding and I was wearing my seatbelt. I chose a different route from my normal route and missed the S curve in the road. My car went to the ditch roughly 3 feet deep on the drivers side, hitting the drivers front, rolling the car one time, landing on the wheels and I put the brakes on, put the car in park and turned off the car. I then got out of the passenger side of the car because the driver side was smashed completely down not allowing me to get out of the car or the window. I could not find my cell phone and went and looked into the field and found where my car rolled and found the phone with the glass from my window. I then called 911 and waited for assistance. I was transported to sidney, ne where after a catscan they found that I had a broken neck in 2 places C6 and C7. They then transferred me by ambulance to fort collins, Colorado where I had surgery to fuse the broken vertebrae. I am now out of work and out of a vehicle for now until I am healed. I called Honda worried that none of the airbags went off, one of the reasons I bought this car was because of the safety rating because I wanted my family to be safe in any event of an accident. Honda after I called them back 2 times finally told me that (case# N012007-11-2900916) Honda does not design their airbags to go off in the event of a rollover. Funny how when I did my research 1 out of 4 people are killed in a rollover. Why wouldn't that be a safety concern?? so needless to say there is nothing done to fix the situation.

I was pulling away from the curb in front of my house. After moving about 1.5 feet, the passenger side air bag deployed breaking the front windshield. About 10 seconds later, the driver side airbag deployed. The sequence repeated about every 10 seconds with the deployment of both side curtain air bags. Finally, after about a 2 minute pause, the airbag contained in the rear of the passenger seat deployed. The airbag contained within the back of the driver's seat did not deploy.

I own a 2006 Honda Civic. This car is equipted with a complex weight sensor system which arms/disarms the passenger side air bags. When the car left the factory the system was defective. After one round of recall work, the system was still deffective. I do not beleive the company has any clear idea how to make this complex system function in a reliable manner. I want them to fix the system so that the air bags are armed all the time. Honda refuses to allow this to be done. My passenger's safety is being compromised because they refuse to turn on the arir bags all the time.
