Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

problem #3

Ridgeline 6-cyl

  • 98,000 miles

Passenger side rear strut was replaced approximately 98,000 miles due to leakage and noise. Replaced with oem part. Same noise recurred at approximately 115,000 miles. Still making the noise. Both sway bar end links were replaced, with oem parts, due to squeaking noise. Driver's side rear suspension now makes loud clicking noise when going over bumps. Rack and pinion needs to be replaced, bad bushings causing loud thunking noises. Inner tie rod end has failed, and presented a significant safety issue.

Took truck in to get tires replaced. Mechanic told me that the drivers side rear strut was leaking and needed to be replaced. Vehicle out of warranty so I didn't get it fixed. Soon after rear strut started making noise. Still makes the noise like there is no fluid in the strut. Bumps are hard and drivers side feels stiff.
