Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2016 Tucson comes with a dual-clutch, 7-speed transmission. But Hyundai forgot to tell you about one key phrase – zero-move. That's right, an alarming number of owners have said their SUV wouldn't accelerate after a stop.

Turns out that's because the transmission's application logic has been stumbling all over itself. Hyundai recalled the issue in September 2016, but it's difficult to say if owners are out-of-the-woods, or if this is just a sign of things to come.

The vehicle makes a sound in the dash area since it was bought. After several inspections it was determined that the vehicle has a manufacturing defect where the left front post welds were loose or were not performed.

I was driving approximately 65mph East on interstate 10 in Louisiana around mile marker 257.3 when the hood latch failed and my hood flew up, smashing my windshield and completely blocking my field of view. There were no cars around me as it was 4:30 am and I was able to safely pull off to the side of the highway. It appears that both the primary and secondary hood latches have failed, causing the hood to fly open.
