While sitting in vehicle, parked and running, noticed smoke and sparks from bottom center of windshield and windshield cracked. We were shocked! Also a pedestrian noticed this at same time.

An inspection of this showed burn hole and cracks starting from the wiper device.

Not impressed as what would have happened if traveling and this type of distraction happened right in front of your view?

cracks radiating out from the outer edge of the glass

About a month ago, I noticed a small crack on the front windshield (passenger side) originating from the edge where the sealant ends. After a few days, the crack got progressively bigger. About a week later, I noticed there was a second crack starting where the original one did. Also, there is yet another crack on the driver side about halfway up. This appears to start at the outer edge of the sealant as well. I'm pretty sure this isn't a warranty repair item, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had this problem. A good friend who works for Chrysler Canada said it looks like it was due to body stress i.e. twisting. Mind you, the vehicle is my daily driver and I only drive it on local roads and highways.
