While I was checking the tire pressure for seasonal pressure adjustment, the cap and top half of the threaded portion of the valve stem came off when I tried to remove the cap. The actual stem of the Schrader valve was past the remains of the threads. The only option was to replace the entire assembly. It is piss poor design. Does anyone know if graphite will stop the problem?
