I bought a new 2011 Jeep Patriot in June 2011. The day after I bought it, it cut off twice in the middle of turns. Took it back to the dealership and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. Less than a week later, it cut off again. I took it back to the dealership where it cut off with them but they still could find no problem. Four days later, it cut off again so back to the dealership I went. They have had it 11 days and still can't find the problem. Chrysler is now talking about buying it back since they can't find the problem.

Update from Oct 26, 2011: Here it is 4 months after I bought this Jeep. The problem turned out to be a bad computer program-the dealership kept it for over a month before they finally installed the new "flash". It ran great for 3 weeks and it started cutting off again-back to the dealership for the "flash" to be installed again. So far it has not cut off but now it does a funny cranking thing-when I turn the key sometimes it turns over around 8 times before it will start and then it is like it is running on low power for around 10 seconds. I took it back to the dealership and of course they couldn't find anything wrong. It has happened several times and now when I email the dealership about it, they never respond. I hired a Lemon Lawyer-Chrysler refused to buy the vehicle back or replace it. I had to settle for a small cash settlement since no one would enforce the Lemon Law. I will be trading this vehicle in for anhything but a Chrysler product soon. Chrysler is a BS company and does not stand behind their product nor can/will they repair problems.
