Third time is a charm. NOT!! I broke down on the freeway actually 2 freeways. The Jeep went kerchunk (policeman laughed when I described it). Then it went into limp mode. I had to get as far off the freeway as I could. My daughter and I had to be towed to the next town. My husband had to come and get me because we had to leave the car. We live 90 miles away. Did I say it broke down 2 other times with the same thing happening? After the mechanic ran the diagnostics it would not show any codes and it ran fine. We picked it up and a few days later it happened again. Did I say that we have now had two really good mechanics try to get codes to no avail. So now it happened again it sounds like something broke and it went into limp mode. I told my husband as I was crying "That's it I am done" Now while I drive my new Honda CRV and I see someone driving a Jeep, I say poor thing, just wait. I met up with a friend for coffee and low and behold her new Jeep is in the shop for the third time transmission!!! They are filing for a lemon law. Wish I could for the control arm module I had to have replace a few years back for 500 dollars. I will not own another Jeep. Thank you very much.
