"safety recall N28/NHTSA 13V-234 transmission oil cooler tube" - another complaint regarding patent disregard for consumer safety by Chrysler. I have been waiting 14 months for resolution to this issue. The manufacturer direct me to the dealership. The dealership blames the manufacturer. NHTSA bears responsibility as well as they apparently are failing to compel Chrysler to perform. I certainly do not want anyone to suffer injury due to this defect. Can nothing be done to accelerate the repair process?

I have been regularly receiving a notice titled "safety recall N28/NHTSA 13V-234 transmission oil cooler tube" from Chrysler many times for the past year. The dealership has not made any attempt to perform the recall even though I have often tried to scheduled it. They continually tell me that they cannot get the required parts from the factory, but when they do they will call me. I called the factory recall assistance center (1-800-853-1403) listed on the recall notice and the person who answered gave me the same story; "Chrysler is having trouble getting the required parts from their supplier". I am certain Chrysler has the ability to build anything, so the fact that they say they can't get some simple hoses built is a ridiculous excuse. It is clear that Chrysler is not responding sincerely to this NHTSA recall. Perhaps, like the Chevy ignition key fob issue, cost vs safety is more important to yet another american automobile manufacturer. Note that the Chrysler notice did say that if the dealer fails to remedy the defect within a reasonable time to file a complaint at www.safercar.gov and this form is the only complaint form I could access from that site. If this is the wrong form please redirect my complaint to the correct location.

No accident...yet. I have received 3 recall notices in the mail from Chrysler regarding the transmission oil cooler tube - safety recall N28/NHTSA/ 13V-234 over the course of a year. With each notice I have called the superstition Jeep Chrysler dealership where I bought my vehicle. Each time I am told they would have to order the part and then call me back to schedule the repair. There is never a call back. With today's 3rd notice, I was again told the part was not in. This time they said the problem is that only a very limited number of parts have been shipped out at a time. It seems wrong of them to hold back on shipping the parts if they know their is a potential risk to owners. Per the recall notice, I am issuing this complaint.

I have now received three recall notices on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. These notices describe a problem with the transmission that could result in crash if not fixed timely. The problem is that Chrysler corporation is not providing the dealerships with the parts necessary to fix the problem. Why would Chrysler not provide the necessary parts to fix a problem before a crash or major transmission problem. The knowledge of this recall and my inability to get it fixed in spite of several attempts to schedule the required repairs at my local dealers has caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety as there is always lurking in the back of my mind the possibility of having a catastrophic mechanical problem resulting in a sudden crash and possibly injury or death to my family and me. Please resolve these issues immediately.

After numerous attempts to have a recall regarding the transmission oil cooling tube repaired I am writing to complain regarding Chrysler corporations extremely slow response to provide parts to my local dealer. After receiving the recall notice, I contacted my local dealer for the repair at the 3,500 mile service. I was told that the parts were not available. During the 7,000 mile service visit I was told that the parts were being rationed by Chrysler and my parts would be ordered. During the required alignment visit at 8,000 miles, I was told that there were 16 people in front of me. I next contacted Chrysler to complain and was told that they were aware of the problem and were trying to rectify the situation. I next emailed my dealer to express my frustration and was told that my email would be shared with the dealership hierarchy. Two days ago I received my third recall notice and emailed the dealership again to see if the part has arrived with no response.
